Lamb House
the eighteenth-century house in Rye, East Sussex, England, in which James made his home from 1897 and which he purchased outright in 1899 on the death of the person from whom he had rented it
the house is now owned by the National Trust and is rented to a writer, continuing the tradition which started with James and subsequently E. F. Benson; however it is open to the public two afternoons a week in summer. More details of the house’s history can be found on Tour UK’s website
