Stevenson
Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-1894); Scottish writer of fiction and travel books; best known for the adventure stories Treasure Island (1883) and Kidnapped (1886) and for the classic split-personality novel The strange case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde (1886); James and Stevenson were good friends from 1884 until the latters death, often through correspondence as Stevenson travelled in warm climes and settled in Samoa for the sake of his health
