the noted journal of the &isquo;æsthetic’ movement; it ran to 13 numbers from 1894 to 1897, published by John Lane and edited by Henry Harland (1861-1905), and gained notoriety because of the inclusion of drawings by Aubrey Beardsley (1872-1898)
