St Thomas of Canterbury

Thomas à Becket (c.1118-1170), Archbishop of Canterbury to King Henry II, was murdered by royal command (possibly a misinterpretation by his knights) in a dispute over Papal authority and was canonized by the Roman church shortly thereafter; the reference is to a stained-glass window in the parish church at Marr
